Hi my name is Neshanne and I'm a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force. I have been serving for almost 9 years and still going strong. I'm an AGE mechanic (Aerospace Ground Equipment) UPDATE: I currently retrained as a paralegal in the AF. My old job was repairing all the ground support equipment for the aircraft. Now as a paralegal I work with the military attorneys on anything regarding the law in civil and justice issues and work in criminal courts. I have been all over the world, I like to think of the military as gypsies, we never stay in one location for too long.
I met my husband while stationed in Anchorage Alaska back in 2006, we married 2008 and we currently live in Misawa Japan. We miss AK, not only for the food but for the beauty. We don't miss the winters. I think we would retire there if it wasn't so damn cold for 9 months out of the year. Come on global warming! (just kidding).
We are both vegetarians, with the occasional visit to a sushi restaurant in Japan (its the only exception to our diet, its hard to pass up fresh seafood) my husband was the one who eventually turned me vegetarian and I'm happy he did :)
For the last 5 years I've been teaching myself to cook vegetarian, and just try to overall be more health conscience of what I put in our food. I get teased a lot at work for being a vegetarian, I do work in a shop with mostly dirty, greasy somewhat immature guys, and they believe all I eat is rabbit food. Which I like to prove is not the case!
I will also come out and say that I have a mini obsession with food blogs. I love searching the web and reading all the amazing blogs out there and trying out all the great recipes I find. It's also inspired me to finally do my own food blog, I'm not the best cook or baker by any means but like they say practice make perfect right? (At least i hope so).
so I hope you enjoy my next adventure in cooking and baking in the Air Force. I can't wait to post all the awesome recipes I try out and post a few of my own original vegetarian recipes to share with you.
